Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a strong background in machining and CNC operations to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly in machining CNC operations, and a proven track record of supporting production while maintaining the highest quality standards. This role will play a critical part in enhancing our manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the successful production of high-precision components.
Responsibilities:
Process Optimization:
Work with production team to analyze existing machining and CNC processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and quality.
Develop and implement innovative strategies to streamline manufacturing operations, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste.
Quality Control
Collaborate with quality assurance teams to establish and maintain rigorous quality standards for machined components.
Develop and implement inspection plans, techniques, and tools to ensure the consistent production of high-quality parts.
Continuous Improvement
Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
Utilize Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies to drive efficiency gains and reduce variability.
Technical Expertise
Serve as the go-to technical resource for machining and CNC-related matters, providing guidance to production teams and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in machining technologies and manufacturing methods.
Collaboration
Work closely with operators, managers, and other engineers to ensure smooth production flow and effective knowledge transfer. Offer product development assistance to customers.
Training and Development
Foster a culture of learning and continuous skill development within the manufacturing team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
7 years of proven experience in Manufacturing Engineering with a focus on machining and CNC operations.
Proficiency in CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code), CAD/CAM software, and machining simulation tools. Feature Cam experience is a plus.
Solidworks experience a MUST.
Strong understanding of machining processes, tool selection, cutting parameters, and surface finishing requirements.
Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and process improvement techniques.
GD&T, ISO9001
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Effective communication and collaborations skills to work cross-functionally and convey technical information to various stakeholders.
Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
